A large multidisciplinary consultancy based within the city of London is looking to recruit a Head of Life Science to join their award winning MEP Design Office. With a world recognised brand this London office strangely encompasses a tight knitted personable feel.


The business predominately work on large commercial build and mixed use developments.
The business has recently been focusing its efforts on developing its life science offering and is now at a stage to bring someone in at a Associate / Director level to run and continue the growth of this division.
You will ideally have 10+ years experience within Building Services, solid Life Science project experience and have the ability to run teams, deliver projects and handle the commercial aspects of projects whilst ensuring client satisfaction.

Role Purpose:
* Lead and Develop Life Sciences offering in the UK and Europe.
* Co-ordination of life sciences building services design with other building services disciplines and with external parties such as architect or client delivery teams.
* Review and comment on contractor technical submittals.
* Participate in business related activities (non-Project)
* Participate in developing the Life Sciences sector offering by developing existing client contacts and broadening our client list and sector coverage.
* Co-ordinate with contractors and manufacturers both on a technical level.
* Participate in project activities including design, specification and documentation.
* Ensure our clients Quality System is implemented and maintained on projects.
* Take part in personal and professional development training as required.
* Participate in the Performance Management Process and maintenance of individual Thrive assessment and development tool.
* Develop project co-ordination skills in line with work opportunities.

You will be expected to:
* Support our brand in the market by providing superior client service and promoting our interests and reputation
* Play an active role in ensuring a harmonious, safe and productive work environment for yourself and others in the workplace by maintaining a high standard of performance and conduct in accordance with our clients values, Code of Conduct, policies and procedures and reasonable business directives.


Qualifications & Certifications:
* A relevant tertiary qualification.
* Bachelor degree in Engineering discipline relevant to the role.

Experience:
* Experienced and qualified in the field of Life Sciences design and delivery.
* Demonstrable experience writing specifications, controls software or commissioning.
* Site experience of building services solutions appropriate for Life Sciences projects.

Additional Skills:
* Ability to effectively communicate with clients.
* Ability to effectively communicate with staff at all levels including a proven ability to communicate with technical staff across multiple disciplines.
* Highly developed verbal communication skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Ability to exercise substantial initiative and high-level judgement and to work independently to meet objectives.
* Well-developed problem-solving skills.
* Excellent time management skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
