Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Manager to lead strategic procurement and supply chain functions for our client's prestigious Data Centre projects. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the acquisition of goods and services, ensuring seamless supplier on boarding, procurement planning, RFP management, and contract administration. Your expertise will be key in driving the successful delivery of multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Procurement Manager, you will attend client, design, project, and site meetings as required, preparing and presenting comprehensive supply chain reports. You will offer strategic advice, secure necessary approvals, and lead tender processes tailored to client-specific work-flows. Managing procurement and tendering activities across various project levels will be a significant aspect of your role. You will also oversee weekly reporting, tracking risks, challenges, and milestones, while advising on the creation of work packages and procurement strategies.
You will conduct spend and market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and manage the supplier selection process, ensuring alignment with client criteria. Facilitating supplier on boarding through Master Purchase Agreements, collaborating with cost teams to monitor procurement budgets, and refining direct procurement processes will also fall under your responsibilities. Additionally, you will define and distribute RFP requirements, manage submission and evaluation processes, and support contract negotiations, executing agreements with suppliers.
Implementing and tracking supplier performance strategies and KPI's will be crucial to your role, as will addressing supplier issues and driving continuous improvement. You will also provide contractual support, manage the contract life-cycle, and ensure timely renewals.
Person Specification:
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Quantity Surveying, or a related field, with experience in the construction industry being essential. A proven track record in procurement, particularly in a leadership role, is highly desirable. Experience with Data Centre projects or complex, high-value schemes is also advantageous. Strong negotiation, management, and strategic thinking skills, along with proficiency in process execution and software tools, are required. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities will ensure success in this role.
