An independently owned building services and environmental design consultancy are currently looking to hire a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their building services team within the London Office.
They currently have a team of 22 Employees in the London office and focus on creating sustainable buildings which not only use less energy, but look, feel and work beautifully. Through collaboration, debate and technical analysis they challenge the obvious and accepted norms, seeking change, a better way, or reinforcing tried and tested solutions.
Their client base tends to be Client/architecturally led and offers a very collaborative office culture. Their projects tend to be mainly residential and heritage. You will get the opportunity to work on a project from the initial concept design working all the way through to stage 4 detail and delivery.
You will be responsible for leading and maintaining a range of projects aswell as assisting in developing technical capability of more junior Mechanical Engineers. You will have ideally worked to a senior level for the last 2-3 years and will have successfully delivered a range of projects.
You will have at least 5 years experience in Mechanical engineering and working towards your CEng status if not already achieved and ideally have experience in Hevacomp, IES and RevitMEP.

You'll be responsible for:
Leading mechanical design stages from feasibility through RIBA Stages 3-5
Producing schematics, calculations, technical schedules, and tender documents
Carrying out site surveys, energy analysis, and troubleshooting across mechanical systems
Contributing to the development of in-house design standards and BIM/CAD templates
Working closely with clients and utilities providers on systems upgrades and infrastructure transitions (e.g., Gas to Grid Power)
Supporting wider business areas including design management, technical project monitoring, and commissioning
What We're Looking ForWe're keen to hear from Mechanical Design Engineers with:
3+ years' experience in MEP design and building services
Strong technical understanding of mechanical infrastructure design, sizing, and load calculations
