A well-established, privately owned multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is looking to recruit an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to join its growing Building Services team.

The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer with 2-5 years' experience who is looking to broaden their project exposure and take the next step towards Senior Engineer.
You'll work alongside experienced Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, Architects and Sustainability Consultants, gaining exposure to projects from concept through to completion. From day one, you'll be encouraged to take responsibility for your own designs, attend client meetings and develop both your technical and consultancy skills.
What You'll Be Doing
Designing electrical building services systems across a diverse range of projectsProducing calculations, specifications and technical reportsDeveloping designs using industry-standard software, including RevitCoordinating with mechanical, structural and architectural teamsAttending client, design team and project meetingsUndertaking site visits and supporting projects during constructionContributing to low-energy, sustainable building designAbout You
You'll ideally have:
2-5 years' experience within a building services consultancyExperience designing electrical building services systemsKnowledge of UK Building Regulations and CIBSE guidanceExperience using Revit and electrical design softwareStrong communication and client-facing skillsA genuine ambition to continue learning and progressingWorking towards Chartership would be advantageous, with full support available.

The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer who enjoys combining technical design, project leadership and client engagement.
You'll lead projects from concept through to completion, working closely with architects, structural, civil and mechanical engineers within a genuinely multidisciplinary environment. Alongside delivering technically excellent designs, you'll mentor junior engineers, build client relationships and play an important role in the continued success of the team.
What You'll Be Doing
* Lead the electrical design and delivery of projects across a range of sectors
* Produce and review calculations, specifications and technical reports
* Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams throughout the project lifecycle
* Attend and lead client, contractor and design team meetings
* Undertake site inspections and provide technical support during construction
* Mentor and support graduate and intermediate engineers
* Maintain high technical standards across project delivery
About You
You'll ideally have:
* Experience within a building services consultancy
* Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services design
* Experience leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
* Excellent communication and client-facing skills
* Experience using industry-standard electrical design software
* Chartered status, or working towards Chartership, would be advantageous
