Role Overview
We are seeking one Senior Project Manager and one Project Manager to join our client-side team and lead Stage 3 of a major data centre program. This phase involves launching a single-stage competitive tender with at least two contractors for a mix of M&E major works, including BMS, fire, and security systems, in a live Tier 3 data centre environment.
Key Responsibilities
Client-Side Leadership: Represent the client's interests at all times, ensuring quality, compliance, and value for money.Tender Management: Prepare and launch Stage 3 tender process with multiple contractors.Project Delivery: Oversee M&E major works in a live data centre environment, ensuring SLA availability and Tier 3 compliance.Stakeholder Engagement: Manage client relationships, internal teams, and external contractors to ensure alignment and successful delivery.Scope & Drawings: Review and define project scope, demarcation, and responsibilities using MEP and civil/architectural drawings.On-Site Leadership: Be present on-site full-time to manage works, temporary works plans, and compliance with CDM and UK construction regulations.Program Efficiency: Identify gaps and opportunities to expedite programs and optimize work packages.Digital Tools: Proficient in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and SharePoint for document control, mark-ups, and collaboration with PMO teams.Reporting: Produce weekly progress reports, track blockers, and provide clear next steps and recommendations.Risk Management: Maintain a project risk register and trace all risks back to cost and time impacts.Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to all safety standards and regulatory requirements.Problem Solving: Be solution-oriented, adaptable, and proactive in overcoming challenges without compromising safety.Skills & Experience

The Project Manager is ultimately responsible for project oversight and review of all disciplines including electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural. A fundamental understanding of these systems is required, as the individual will be expected to identify areas for improvement as well as act on data provided from other team and organisations
This role requires both independent contribution as well as the ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams and internal business units. The Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals
Responsibilities include:
Project management and oversight of build and retrofitting related activities as they relate to modifying existing infrastructure for the purpose of installing new or to replace end of life equipment. This will include the ownership of the project scope, timeline, and budget. - Provide project management for specific initiatives aimed at increasing the resiliency of the data centers.
Construction/project package drawing review. - Creation of project scope, request for proposals, and capital requests. - Total project quality including the creation of a commissioning plan and oversight of the execution. - Recording and reporting key metrics to team members and management. - Operational support including review of procedures, best practices, and maintenance initiatives. -
Drive teams to perform troubleshooting and root cause failure analysis associated with equipment or electrical failures. - Work with contractors and vendors to deliver efficient and high quality project turnovers. - Be a leader within the group as well as within internal and external teams that support the data center.
You should be able to some understand drawings MEP & civils/arch and is someone who can look for gaps and opportunities to expedite programs and work packages.
This is a great long term opportunity within a great industry
Role is outside IR35
Candidates must be UK based and happy to conduct site visits as appropriate
