With a flexible hybrid working model (typically 2 days in the London Farringdon office, 3 days from home - but always based on project needs), they offer autonomy and flexibility rarely found in the industry.
About the Role:As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality building services design across a range of commercial office projects. You'll also have the opportunity to work more broadly across advisory and design management roles - including direct client liaison and acting as a client-side consultant.
This is more than just a traditional design role - you'll be part of a team that works closely with end users and developers, providing a holistic view of project delivery from concept through to completion.
What You'll Need:A degree in Mechanical Building Services Engineering (or equivalent qualification)
5+ years' experience in a building services consultancy environment
Proficiency in mechanical services design, ideally within commercial office sectors
Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and HVAC software (e.g. IES VE) is beneficial
Strong understanding of interdisciplinary design and coordination
Ability to work independently, manage workload and deliver to deadlines
A proactive mindset, with a pragmatic and solutions-driven approach
What You'll Be Doing:Lead and manage mechanical design on a variety of projects
Collaborate with clients, project teams, and other consultants
Engage in advisory and design management roles, supporting end-user clients
Attend client meetings (virtually or in person in London as required)
Take ownership of deliverables and deadlines with full trust from leadership

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit familiarity with IES VE, Hevacomp, or similar tools is advantageous
In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations, CIBSE standards, and low-carbon design strategies
Excellent communication, project management, and client-facing skills
