A rapidly growing global engineering and advisory consultancy is seeking a Principal Sustainability Consultant to join its team in Cairo. With sustainability at the core of its identity, and a presence across the UAE, UK, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sydney and South Africa, this is a unique opportunity to lead transformational sustainability projects in one of the most dynamic emerging markets.

The Opportunity
As a Principal Sustainability Consultant, you will play a key leadership role - responsible for delivering complex sustainability projects, leading client relationships, and developing the regional sustainability team and service offering.

You will work on large-scale masterplans, mixed-use developments, infrastructure projects and ESG strategies, helping clients meet net-zero, resilience and certification goals.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of sustainability projects from strategy through to implementation and certification.Manage and advise on LEED, Estidama, Mostadam, BREEAM, WELL or similar frameworks, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance.Develop Net Zero Carbon strategies, ESG frameworks, climate resilience plans and sustainability roadmaps.Act as a primary point of contact for key clients, government bodies and developers in Egypt and the wider MENA region.Lead proposals, bids and client pitches to secure new work, helping to grow the Cairo sustainability team and regional presence.Mentor and support junior and mid-level consultants as part of team expansion.Present at industry events, working groups and thought leadership platforms.

What You'll Bring

7+ years of sustainability consulting experience, ideally across the Middle East, North Africa or international markets.Strong knowledge of green building certifications (LEED, Estidama, Mostadam, BREEAM, WELL).Proven experience in leading projects, managing clients and delivering commercially successful outcomes.Experience developing or implementing Net Zero roadmaps, ESG strategies or climate resilience frameworks.Minimum 1 year of experience working on projects in the Middle East or North Africa, with local stakeholder exposure.Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is advantageous but not essential).Degree in Sustainability, Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Science or equivalent (Master's desirable).
