Job description

A CAD Technician is required for a local authority to actively participate as a member of a team to help undertake coastal defence, land drainage and
County Road structure maintenance works using Computer Aided Design and/or Building Information Modelling (BIM) software.
- Actively participate in project teams to assist in the preparation of feasibility reports, design of flood alleviation works, coastal, land drainage and County Road structure maintenance works, through the preparation of contract documents.
- Undertake surveys, investigations and site inspections.
- Assist with environmental incidents such as flooding and maritime spillages in accordance with emergency response procedures.
- Ensure that the groups' vehicles, plant and equipment are inspected, tested, calibrated, maintained and cleaned on a regular basis.
- Produce land drainage, flood investigation and project update reports.
-To complete all necessary paperwork relating to timesheets.
-Assist with development of databases relating to flood risk management and the creation of the group's website, ensuring that they are kept up to date.
