Estimator - Drylining / Facades / Fit-Out

About the Role

A leading specialist subcontractor within the drylining, facades, and fit-out sector is looking for an experienced Estimator to join their growing pre-construction team.

You'll be responsible for preparing accurate tenders and cost plans across a range of high-value residential and commercial schemes, working closely with the commercial, design, and delivery teams from tender stage through to project award.

This is a great opportunity to join a well-established contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex interior and envelope packages for Tier 1 main contractors and developers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed estimates and tender submissions for drylining, partitions, ceilings, facades, and fit-out packages.

  • Review tender documentation, drawings, and specifications to identify project requirements and risks.

  • Conduct material take-offs, subcontractor enquiries, and price comparisons.

  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive and compliant pricing.

  • Produce clear tender summaries and present cost breakdowns to senior management.

  • Work collaboratively with the pre-construction and commercial teams to ensure smooth handover to delivery.

  • Maintain accurate records of tender results, cost data, and supplier databases.


Requirements

  • Proven background as an Estimator within drylining, facades, or interior fit-out.

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Experience using estimating software and Excel for take-offs and cost analysis.

  • Confident communicator with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.

  • Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
