Job description

Compliance Surveyor required immediately for a local authority in Nottinghamshire 3 - 6 month temporary to permanent basis.

Key responsibilities for Compliance Surveyor:

The main purpose of this role is to provide specialist knowledge to ensure the statutory and regulatory compliance of the Councils domestic assets within the Housing Directorate, ensuring that the Council consistently fulfills its duty of care towards its tenants and other customers.

The role will have responsibility for the appointment and direct management of a number of specialist contractors and at times their own in-house technicians, ensuring that all of the Councils legislative and regulatory requirements are continually met in relation to:

* Asbestos Management
* Fire safety
* Water Hygiene
* Gas safety
* Mechanical and electrical safety
* Lifts
* Roof top and building access

As part of a wider team this role will take specific responsibility for a couple of the elements listed above and support the remainder of the team with their specialist functions.
