I am working with a local authority in the Nottinghamshire area who are looking to appoint a new Business Manager within their Asset Management & Housing Maintenance Teams.
The purpose of the role:
To lead, manage and deliver the effective performance and overall direction of the following aspects of housing asset function including: Strategic Asset Management, Delivery of Planned and Programmed Maintenance, Property Compliance and Safety, Responsive Repairs, Empty Homes, Stores, Planning and Delivery of Investment Programme, Private Sector Energy Improvements. Promote awareness of the council's responsibilities for health and safety compliance as it relates to the council's homes and champion a zero culture.

Key areas of responsibility:
Strategic Asset Management, Delivery of Planned and Programmed Maintenance, Property Compliance and Safety, Responsive Repairs, Empty Homes, Stores, Planning and Delivery of Investment Programme, Private Sector Energy Improvements, Subject Matter Expert, Service Development.
Experience Required:
Significant experience in a senior managerial position in the public or private sector of issues that have strategic/significant impact.
Substantial experience of managing building contracts and/or work forces who undertake a wide variety of maintenance and improvement programmes within the housing sector.
Successfully building, managing and monitoring significant revenue and capital budgets.
Considerable experience of leading the analysis of housing stock condition data and formulating and assessing investment strategies to produce and implement business plans.
A current and broad understanding of social housing inclusive of national, regional, local agendas and housing legislation, regulation and operational best practice in relation to housing asset and repair.
Experience of liaising and developing policies and strategies with senior managers to deliver services.
Demonstrable experience of successfully, managing, monitoring and controlling significant budgets.
Experience of working closely with Councillors, residents, leaseholders, tenants and other key stakeholders.
Experience of delivering performance outcomes with limited resources through effectively managing, leading, training, developing and motivating diverse teams.
Experience of leading continuous improvement and change, supporting teams to accept and embed.
Report / policy / strategy formulation, writing and presentation to a variety of audiences.
Proven experience of leading and delivering improvements in the provision of effective customer focused services.
Qualifications:
Corporate membership of CIH, RICS or equivalent professional experience
Degree or equivalent in building/construction or other relevant subject.
£63000 - £66745 per annum
