Overview
My client is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join its Oxford office on a hybrid working basis. This role sits within a multidisciplinary building service engineering team, delivering high-quality electrical design solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects including commercial, residential, education, and healthcare developments. They work on commercial, residential, education, healthcare and retail and also sustainability.
This is a senior-level position suited to an experienced engineer who can lead design delivery, and take ownership of projects from concept through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
You will take a leading role in the delivery of electrical building services design, including:
Leading electrical design on projects from concept through detailed design and construction stagesProducing and reviewing detailed design calculations, drawings, specifications, and reportsCoordinating with mechanical engineers, architects, structural engineers, and external stakeholdersEnsuring compliance with UK Building Regulations, relevant British Standards, and client requirementsUndertaking site inspections, technical surveys, and supporting construction phase servicesManaging project deliverables, deadlines, and technical quality controlSupporting and mentoring junior and intermediate engineers within the teamContributing to client meetings, design reviews, and technical presentationsAssisting in fee proposals, scope definition, and project planning where requiredRequired Skills and Experience
