A growing London-based architectural practice is seeking a highly experienced and confident Senior Project Architect to take a leading role across a diverse portfolio of residential-led projects. This is a senior position for an accomplished Architect who can independently run projects from early concept through to completion, while playing a key role within a collaborative, design-focused studio.
Working on a hybrid basis (4 days in the office, 1 day wfh), the successful candidate will join a practice known for delivering thoughtful, high-quality architecture across both new-build and retrofit residential schemes, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and technical excellence.
This role is ideally suited to an Architect who thrives in a project leadership capacity-someone comfortable taking ownership, managing complexity, and driving outcomes across design, technical delivery, and client engagement.
The Role
The Senior Project Architect will act as the key project lead across multiple schemes, overseeing all stages of delivery in line with the RIBA Plan of Work. They will be responsible for guiding projects from briefing and concept design through planning, technical development, procurement, and construction on site.
A strong focus will be placed on leadership, coordination, and delivery, including managing multidisciplinary consultant teams, maintaining program and quality control, and ensuring commercially aware decision-making throughout.
Key Responsibilities
Lead architectural projects independently from inception to completion
Act as primary client contact and manage stakeholder relationships
Coordinate and lead consultant teams including structural, MEP, planning and sustainability specialists
Oversee design development, technical delivery, and construction-stage coordination
Produce and manage project information within ArchiCAD
Chair and contribute to project meetings, driving clear decisions and actions

About You
This position requires a fully qualified ARB Registered Architect with a minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in residential development, including both new-build and retrofit schemes, alongside a strong understanding of UK planning, procurement, and construction processes.
A solid working knowledge of the RIBA Plan of Work is essential, as is demonstrable experience leading projects across all stages independently.

Experience as a project runner with full end-to-end delivery responsibility
