The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to take a leading role on a £50 million refurbishment scheme in central Bristol.

This high-profile project involves the major redevelopment of an existing commercial building, delivering a cut-and-carve transformation with Cat A fit-out. Works include extensive structural alterations, significant MEPH upgrades, and full façade replacement, creating a high-quality, modern commercial space.

This is a technically complex scheme requiring a commercially astute leader who can drive performance, manage risk, and work collaboratively across all project stakeholders.

Key Requirements

To be considered, you will have:

The Role

Pre-Construction

Develop and manage the procurement strategy, a key project control toolBuild strong relationships with the client, PQS, and professional teamLead trade contractor procurement, from prequalification through to awardProduce detailed trade package documentationContribute to budgeting, cost planning, and value engineeringManage the tender event schedule alongside the design teamEstablish and agree the initial cost/value reconciliation baseline

Construction Phase

Implement robust financial controls and reporting systems with a "no surprises" approachManage and administer all trade contracts and letters of intentLead change control processes, assessing cost and programme implicationsProduce and manage monthly CVRs, cost reports, and cashflow forecastsOversee valuations and ensure timely client paymentsMonitor procurement and expenditure against budgetsSupport the project team to ensure programme and commercial alignment

Post-Construction
