Commercial Assistant Opportunity

A well-established and growing business within the commercial interiors and workplace sector is seeking a proactive and organised Commercial Assistant to join its team in Hatfield.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to develop a career in commercial management, quantity surveying, procurement, project delivery, or construction support within a fast-paced project environment.

The Role

Working closely with the commercial and project teams, you will provide essential support across multiple projects, helping to ensure the efficient financial and administrative management of contracts from initial enquiry through to completion.

Key responsibilities include:

Assisting with the preparation of quotations, valuations, and commercial reportsSupporting cost management and project financial trackingRaising purchase orders and monitoring supplier invoicesMaintaining accurate project and commercial documentationAssisting with procurement activities and supplier coordinationSupporting subcontractor administration and compliance processesMonitoring project variations and associated recordsProducing reports, spreadsheets, and cost trackers using ExcelLiaising with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholdersProviding general commercial and administrative support to the wider team

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detailGood numerical and analytical abilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelExcellent written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to manage multiple priorities effectivelyA proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to learn

Desirable Experience

Previous experience within a commercial, construction, fit out, manufacturing, or project support environmentExperience processing purchase orders, invoices, or commercial documentationKnowledge of workplace interiors, furniture, fit out, or construction projectsAn interest in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Procurement, or Project Management
