A leading M&E contractor in London is looking to appoint an experienced Design Manager to join their growing team.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on some of the company's largest and most technically complex commercial and data centre projects, collaborating closely with the Design Engineering and Digital teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality design solutions.

The Role

The Design Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating design activities throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with engineering, digital, project and construction teams.

Key responsibilities will include:

Managing and coordinating M&E design activities across major projectsWorking closely with the Design Engineering and Digital teamsSupporting the delivery of large-scale commercial and data centre projectsCoordinating multidisciplinary design information and interfacesWorking with consultants, clients, engineers and project teamsIdentifying and resolving design issues to maintain project programme and qualityEnsuring design deliverables meet the required technical and commercial standardsSupporting the successful transition from design through to constructionThe Candidate

The ideal candidate will be an experienced M&E Design Manager with a strong technical background and experience working on large-scale, complex projects.

Candidates should have:

The Opportunity
This role sits at the heart of project delivery, acting as the link between consultants, subcontractors, site teams and clients.

You'll be responsible for managing the electrical design process from tender stage through to construction, ensuring designs are coordinated, buildable, compliant and delivered in line with programme requirements.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage the electrical design process across multiple projects

* Commercial awareness and a practical approach to problem-solving
