Work on Projects That Really Challenge You

A specialist building services engineering consultancy is looking to recruit an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to join its growing London team.

The business has built an excellent reputation for delivering MEP design on complex, technically demanding projects, particularly within live, operational environments where engineering quality and collaboration are critical. Alongside its specialist work, the team also delivers projects across commercial, education and public sector developments.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious engineer who wants to broaden their technical experience while working on projects that genuinely make a difference.

The Opportunity
You'll become part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, working alongside experienced Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health Engineers to deliver projects from concept through to completion.

From day one, you'll be given real responsibility, client exposure and the opportunity to develop your technical expertise while working on challenging, high-value schemes.

As your career progresses, you'll have the opportunity to lead packages of work, attend client and design team meetings and develop towards Senior Engineer level.

What You'll Be Doing
* Designing electrical building services systems across a variety of projects
* Producing calculations, specifications and technical documentation
* Supporting projects through every stage of the design process
* Coordinating with mechanical engineers, architects and other design disciplines
* Attending client meetings and design workshops
* Undertaking site surveys and supporting projects during construction
* Assisting with technical reviews and quality assurance
* Contributing to innovative, sustainable engineering solutions

About You
You'll ideally have:
* Around 3-5 years experience within a building services consultancy
* Experience designing electrical building services systems
* Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations and industry standards
* Experience using industry-standard electrical design software
* Strong communication and client-facing skills
* Ambition to continue developing professionally and work towards Chartership

Experience within healthcare or other technically complex sectors would be beneficial but isn't essential.

Why Apply?
* Work on technically challenging, high-profile projects
* Join a collaborative team with a strong engineering culture
* Hybrid working and flexible working arrangements
* Excellent training, mentoring and Chartership support
* Clear career progression within a growing business
* Diverse project portfolio with exposure to every stage of project delivery
* Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package

If you're looking to develop your career beyond traditional building services projects and want to join a consultancy where you'll be trusted with responsibility, supported in your development and exposed to genuinely interesting engineering challenges, this is an excellent opportunity to take the next step.

Whether you're working in the larger corporate companies or a small SME this is certainly one to take note of. Please don't hesitate to apply or get in touch for further info on the email below, we can arrange a confidential conversation anytime to suit you.
