We're recruiting experienced Electrical Design Engineers to join a growing international engineering business delivering major hyperscale data centre projects across Europe.

The Role:

Electrical building services design for hyperscale data centre projects.
Design of MV/HV power distribution, electrical infrastructure, containment and associated systems.
Electrical engineering calculations, specifications and technical documentation.
Development of electrical designs from concept through to detailed design and construction.
Coordination with mechanical, structural and architectural disciplines.
Collaboration with international multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Supporting the delivery of high-quality, coordinated electrical design packages.

Essential Requirements:

Proven data centre design experience - ESSENTIAL.
Strong electrical building services / MEP design experience.
Experience with MV/HV systems, power distribution and electrical infrastructure.
Strong understanding of electrical engineering calculations and technical documentation.
Proficiency in relevant electrical design software, such as Revit and/or AutoCAD.
Ability to work independently and effectively within a remote international team.
Strong communication and coordination skills.

The Role

Key Responsibilities

* Develop designs for LV/MV distribution, power generation, UPS systems, standby power and associated electrical infrastructure.
* Work across concept, developed design and detailed design stages.
* Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical, architectural and other engineering disciplines.
* Carry out design reviews and ensure technical quality across project deliverables.
* Support the development of BIM/Revit models and coordinated design information where required.
* Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, regulations and project requirements.
* Participate in technical meetings and provide design input to project teams.
* Work independently while maintaining clear communication with the wider engineering team.

Requirements

* Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
* Strong experience in electrical building services design.
* Proven experience working on data centre or mission-critical projects.
* Strong technical understanding of electrical systems and infrastructure within data centres.
* Experience with relevant design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, Amtech or similar.
* Ability to produce high-quality technical designs and documentation.
* Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
* ECSA registration or eligibility would be advantageous.
