An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Project Manager to join a growing Built Environment team within an established engineering consultancy.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to work across a portfolio of existing buildings and live sites throughout London, overseeing electrical installation projects from initial survey through to completion.
You'll join a well-organised, supportive and collaborative team with a strong culture and a genuine focus on delivering quality projects for a range of exciting and high-profile clients.
The Role
You will take responsibility for managing electrical installation packages across existing buildings, working closely with clients, contractors and the internal engineering team.
The process will typically begin with engineers visiting sites to assess the existing electrical systems and produce a detailed report. You will then take ownership of the project, overseeing the electrical works and ensuring the installation is delivered successfully.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing electrical installation projects across existing buildings and live sites.Attending sites across London to oversee project delivery.Taking engineering survey reports and turning them into deliverable electrical projects.Managing electrical contractors and subcontractors.Coordinating programmes, materials, labour and project resources.Monitoring installation quality, progress and compliance.Managing project budgets, variations and commercial elements.Liaising directly with clients and key project stakeholders.Attending site and client meetings.Identifying and resolving technical and delivery issues.Ensuring projects are completed safely, on programme and to a high standard.The Projects
You'll be working on a varied portfolio of existing buildings across London, giving you exposure to a range of electrical systems, environments and project challenges.
The team works with a number of high-profile clients, providing the opportunity to work on prestigious buildings and technically interesting projects rather than repetitive new-build schemes.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on, site-based and involved in the full project lifecycle, from understanding existing electrical infrastructure through to seeing the completed installation.
About You
We're looking for an Electrical Project Manager with approximately 4-5 years' experience managing electrical building services projects.
You'll ideally have:
4-5 years' experience in electrical project management.Strong UK building services / electrical experience.Experience managing electrical installations on existing buildings or live sites.Good understanding of electrical building services, including power, lighting, containment and associated systems.Experience managing contractors and subcontractors.Strong programme, commercial and project management skills.Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.The confidence to attend sites and take ownership of projects.A proactive and organised approach.You must already have the right to work in the UK, as this position does not offer visa sponsorship.

* Manage the delivery of electrical packages from pre con to award and through to completion.
* Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and internal delivery teams.
* Manage project planning, sequencing and progress reporting.
* Chair and attend client, subcontractor and coordination meetings.
* Oversee procurement schedules and material management.
* Manage technical queries, RFIs and design coordination.
* Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements.
* Produce progress reports, look-aheads and commercial updates.
* Support commissioning activities, snagging and final handover.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager
* Previous experience delivering high value electrical building services projects.
* Data centre, critical infrastructure, commercial or industrial project experience desirable.
* Strong understanding of electrical systems and MEP installations.
* Experience managing subcontractors and multiple work packages.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong commercial awareness.
* Ability to manage programmes and project delivery milestones.
* Good understanding of health and safety legislation.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and project reporting systems.
