Location: Hybrid / South East
An ambitious and growing design & build contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Estimator / Pre-Construction Manager to play a key role in securing and shaping future projects.
Working across a range of workplace, commercial and refurbishment schemes, you'll lead the pre-construction process from initial enquiry through to contract award, providing expert commercial, technical and programme advice throughout.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys client engagement, strategic thinking and taking ownership of bids in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.
The RoleLead the estimating and pre-construction activities on design & build projects.Produce detailed cost plans, budgets and tender submissions.Review drawings, specifications and project requirements to develop robust pricing strategies.Manage subcontractor and supplier enquiries, negotiations and bid analysis.Identify value engineering opportunities and alternative construction solutions.Work closely with design, commercial and delivery teams to ensure schemes are commercially viable and deliverable.Attend client meetings, presentations and tender interviews.Support project planning, procurement strategy and programme development.Build and maintain strong relationships across the supply chain and consultant network.About YouProven experience as an Estimator, Senior Estimator or Pre-Construction Manager within the construction sector.Strong Design & Build experience is essential.Background delivering commercial fit-out, workplace, refurbishment or construction projects.Able to prepare estimates from first principles and challenge costs where required.Commercially astute with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.Comfortable managing multiple opportunities simultaneously.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.Desirable ExperienceIndustrial and logistics sector experience would be highly advantageous.Experience working on schemes ranging from £500k to £15m+.Knowledge of both traditional and design & build procurement routes.Construction-related qualification (HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent).What's on Offer?£65,000 - £80,000 basic salary.Competitive benefits package.Clear progression opportunities within a growing business.Exposure to a diverse range of projects and sectors.A supportive and collaborative culture where your input will directly influence project success.If you're an experienced pre-construction professional looking to join a business that values technical expertise, commercial acumen and client relationships in equal measure, get in touch with me via:
