Director - Fire Engineering (South Africa)
We are partnering with a highly respected UK-based consultancy with over 30 years of expertise in Building Services and Fire Engineering. Renowned for delivering innovative and technically robust solutions, the business has established a strong reputation across the UK market and is now embarking on an exciting expansion into South Africa.
As part of this growth strategy, we are seeking an experienced Director to lead and establish the South African operation. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of a growing business while working closely with an established UK leadership team. Notably, the Head of Fire Engineering is South African, bringing valuable local insight and leadership to the organisation.
The position will initially be fully remote, allowing the successful candidate to become integrated into the companys systems, processes, and culture while assisting with the setup and development of the South African office.
Key Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years experience within Fire Engineering, Building Services, or a related engineering consultancy environment.
Professionally registered with ECSA.
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Strong technical design background with a thorough understanding of fire engineering principles.
Demonstrated leadership and business management experience.
Commercially astute with a strong understanding of financial performance, business development, and operational management.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to drive growth and establish a successful local presence.
Proven ability to lead teams, manage client relationships, and oversee project delivery.
