The Opportunity
You'll become part of a multidisciplinary design team delivering innovative building services solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects, including commercial offices, higher education, cultural buildings, residential developments, laboratories, and complex refurbishments.
This role offers the opportunity to take increasing ownership of projects while learning from some of the industry's leading engineers and sustainability specialists.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the design and delivery of electrical building services systems from concept through to completionProduce calculations, reports, specifications, and technical designsDesign electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, small power, emergency lighting, and life safety systemsWork closely with mechanical engineers, sustainability consultants, architects, and clients to develop integrated design solutionsContribute to low-energy and net-zero carbon design strategiesAttend project meetings and support project coordination activitiesDevelop your technical and client-facing skills through exposure to all stages of project deliveryWhat We're Looking For
Experience in electrical building services design within a consultancy environmentKnowledge of power, lighting, and building services design principlesAn interest in sustainable building design and low-carbon engineering solutionsStrong communication and collaboration skillsDegree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related disciplineWorking towards chartership or professional accreditation would be advantageousCurious, proactive, and eager to learn from experienced engineersWhy Join?

What You'll Be Doing
Supporting the design and delivery of electrical Building Services systems across MOJ and commercial projects
Working closely with Senior and Associate Engineers through all project stages, from concept to completion
Producing technical calculations, reports, specifications, and design documentation
Assisting with project coordination alongside clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
Contributing to innovative, low-carbon, and sustainable engineering solutions
Continuing your technical development with support toward Chartership
What They're Looking For
Around 2-4 years' experience within Electrical Building Services Engineering
Experience working on projects through various design stages
Strong understanding of electrical systems within buildings
Familiarity with software such as Amtech, Dialux, Revit, and/or AutoCAD
Strong communication skills with a collaborative approach
Motivated, proactive, and eager to continue learning and developing
