A specialist building services engineering consultancy is looking to recruit a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its growing London team.

The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to step into a senior role where you'll combine hands-on design with project leadership, client engagement and mentoring.

You'll lead the mechanical design of projects from concept through to completion, working closely with clients, architects and multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, sustainable engineering solutions. Alongside project delivery, you'll help develop junior engineers, review technical work and play an active role in maintaining the high standards the business is known for.

What You'll Be Doing

Leading the mechanical design of HVAC, public health and low-carbon building services systemsManaging projects through every stage of design and constructionProducing and reviewing calculations, specifications and technical reportsCoordinating with electrical, public health and sustainability engineersLeading client meetings, workshops and technical design reviewsProviding technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineersSupporting construction teams with technical queries and site inspectionsHelping identify opportunities for innovation, value engineering and sustainable design solutions

About You
You'll ideally have:

Experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer within a building services consultancyStrong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical building services designExperience leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teamsExcellent communication and client-facing skillsA collaborative approach and a passion for delivering high-quality engineeringChartered status, or working towards Chartership, would be advantageousExperience within healthcare or other technically demanding sectors would be beneficial but isn't essential.
