The Opportunity

As a Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer, you'll take ownership of projects from concept through to completion while helping to shape the future direction of the team.

This role would suit someone who enjoys both the technical and client-facing aspects of engineering and is looking to take the next step towards leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the electrical design delivery on a range of building services projectsDevelop innovative and practical engineering solutions from concept through to detailed designManage project programmes, resources, and deliverablesAct as a key point of contact for clients, architects, contractors, and design teamsMentor and support junior engineers, helping to develop technical capability within the teamUndertake design reviews and provide technical guidance across projectsSupport business development activities and contribute to the growth of client relationshipsCollaborate closely with mechanical, sustainability, and building physics specialists to deliver integrated design solutions

What We're Looking For

Experience in electrical building services design within a consultancy environmentStrong knowledge of power, lighting, small power, life safety systems, and relevant UK standardsProven experience delivering projects across sectors such as commercial, residential, education, healthcare, or mixed-use developmentsAbility to manage projects and maintain strong client relationshipsExperience mentoring or leading engineersChartered status or working towards chartership would be advantageousExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills
