Are you a recognised Data Centre design leader looking to take ownership of major mission-critical projects across the UK and Europe?
A leading international engineering consultancy is seeking a Technical Director (Mechanical or Electrical) to spearhead the delivery of hyperscale and colocation data centre projects. This is an opportunity to join an industry-leading team delivering some of the most complex and prestigious mission-critical developments currently in the market.
The OpportunityWorking at the forefront of the data centre sector, you'll provide technical leadership across large-scale projects from concept through to delivery, acting as a trusted advisor to global clients, contractors, and design teams.
You'll play a key role in winning work, developing client relationships, growing technical teams, and shaping the future direction of a rapidly expanding mission-critical division.

Hyperscale Data CentresColocation FacilitiesMission Critical CampusesHigh-Density AI & Cloud InfrastructureCritical Power & Resilience UpgradesLarge-Scale International Data Centre ProgrammesResponsibilitiesLead the mechanical or electrical design of major data centre developmentsAct as Technical Lead and Client Director on flagship projectsDrive design excellence, innovation and resilience strategiesMentor and develop multidisciplinary engineering teamsSupport business development and strategic growthBuild and maintain relationships with key developers, operators and contractorsOversee project delivery, quality assurance and technical governanceAbout YouProven experience delivering Data Centre projects within a consultancy environmentStrong background in Mission Critical or Hyperscale facilitiesChartered Engineer (CEng) preferredExtensive client-facing and technical leadership experienceStrong understanding of critical systems, including power distribution, UPS, standby generation, cooling and resilience strategiesAbility to lead teams and manage multiple complex projects simultaneouslyPackage💷 £100,000 - £120,000 Salary
