Commercial Manager | International Workplace Interiors

Our client is a leading international design & build specialist delivering high-profile workplace, commercial office and interior fit-out projects across the UK and Europe. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join their EMEA division.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute individual to support projects from early-stage bid and pre-construction activities through to successful project delivery and final account agreement across a diverse portfolio of workplace projects throughout Europe.

The Role

The Commercial Manager will play a key role across both pre and post contract stages, working closely with clients, consultants, pre-construction teams, project teams and supply chain partners to ensure commercial success throughout the project lifecycle.

This position offers exposure to complex, design-led commercial interior projects delivered for major corporate occupiers across multiple European markets.

Key ResponsibilitiesPre-ContractSupport and contribute to tender and bid submissions.Review contract terms and commercial risks.Develop project budgets, cost plans and procurement strategies.Work alongside pre-construction, design and operational teams during bid stages.Assist with value engineering exercises and commercial solutions.Evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals.Post-ContractManage commercial performance throughout project delivery.Oversee subcontract procurement and account management.Administer contract obligations, variations and change control processes.Monitor project costs, cash flow and forecasting.Prepare and manage valuations, applications for payment and final accounts.Identify and mitigate commercial risks.Support operational teams to maximise project profitability.Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.About YouProven experience as a Commercial Manager, Senior Quantity Surveyor or Managing Quantity Surveyor within commercial fit-out, interiors or design & build.Experience operating across both pre-contract and post-contract stages.Sound understanding of commercial contracts and procurement practices.Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.Experience delivering commercial office, workplace or corporate interior projects.Excellent commercial acumen and financial management capability.Comfortable working across multiple projects and jurisdictions.European project experience would be advantageous.Willingness to travel when required.What's on Offer?Opportunity to work on prestigious workplace projects across the UK and Europe.Exposure to blue-chip clients and international programmes.Collaborative and entrepreneurial culture.Clear career progression opportunities.Hybrid working flexibility.Competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.
