About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Associate Director - Planning to join a prestigious team working on a landmark commercial office construction project. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and shape the planning function for a large-scale, complex development within a leading construction environment.
As Associate Director - Planning, you will play a pivotal role in delivering the project on time and within budget, driving effective scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder coordination across multiple disciplines. Your expertise will be critical to the successful execution of one of the most ambitious commercial office builds in the sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and management of comprehensive project programmes, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives and client expectations.
Oversee detailed planning activities, including resource allocation, milestone tracking, and critical path analysis.
Manage and mentor a team of planners, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
Collaborate closely with project leadership, commercial teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to monitor progress and proactively address any delays or risks.
Drive the implementation of innovative planning tools and methodologies to enhance forecasting accuracy and project transparency.
Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements related to scheduling and reporting.
Provide regular, clear, and insightful reporting to senior stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in a senior planning role on large-scale commercial construction projects, ideally within the office sector.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop planning teams effectively.
Excellent knowledge of planning software (Asta, primavira Microsoft Project, or equivalent).
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to influence and negotiate with multiple stakeholders at all levels.
Sound understanding of construction processes, commercial drivers, and project risk management.
Relevant professional qualifications in planning or project management are highly desirable.
