We are working with a client seeking an experienced Principal or Associate Mechanical Engineer to join a high-performing, collaborative team working at the forefront of Data Centre and Mission Critical design. The role can be based from any regional hub in England or Scotland. What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading the design of mechanical systems for complex data centre environments (CHW, LTHW, HVAC, fuel, and more)
  • Delivering system calculations, specifications, and detailed designs from concept through construction
  • Supporting clients with technical strategy and ensuring designs align with business goals and operational requirements
  • Collaborating across disciplines to ensure fully integrated and coordinated MEP designs
  • Overseeing installation and monitoring site works to maintain design integrity and compliance

What You Bring

  • Proven Experience in mechanical engineering design within data centres or mission-critical environments
  • Working knowledge of key tools: TAS/IES, RevitMEP, AutoCAD, Hevacomp, and thermal modelling
  • Understanding of the Uptime Institute Tier Classification System and relevant UK/EU design standards
  • Chartered (or working toward Chartership) via CIBSE or IMechE
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and guide others
  • Eligible for UK Security Check (SC) clearance
