We are partnering with one of Ireland's largest and most established MEP consultancies, an internationally recognised engineering business with 300+ employees and ambitious plans to grow to more than 1,000 professionals globally over the next 3-4 years.
With approximately 90% of their workload focused on Data Centres, you'll be joining a business operating at the heart of the mission-critical sector, delivering major projects for some of the world's leading hyperscale clients.
Best of all, you can be based remotely in South Africa.
The role also offers occasional international travel, giving you the opportunity to attend client meetings, project workshops and site visits across Europe and potentially other global locations.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you'll play a key role in the design and delivery of large-scale, technically complex Data Centre projects, working across the project lifecycle from concept and detailed design through to completion.
You'll work as part of multidisciplinary teams, collaborate directly with international clients and contribute to the delivery of highly resilient infrastructure where reliability, performance and precision are critical.

What Were Looking For
We're looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with proven Data Centre or Mission Critical experience who is comfortable working on large-scale, technically demanding projects.
You should have:
* A degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
* Proven experience working on Data Centre / Mission Critical projects
* Strong Building Services consultancy experience
* Experience delivering electrical design for large-scale Data Centre developments
* Strong technical knowledge across power distribution, lighting, UPS, generators, standby power and earthing systems
* Experience working across multiple project stages, from concept through to detailed design and delivery
* Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary project teams
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* The ability to work effectively with international clients and project teams
## Highly Desirable
* Experience working on hyperscale Data Centre projects
* Previous experience working with international Data Centre clients
* Chartered Engineer status or currently working towards chartership
* PrEng or PrTech registration in South Africa
* Experience with high-voltage / high-power electrical systems
* Experience working on technically complex, resilience-focused mission-critical infrastructure
