Are you a Senior Mechanical Engineer with proven Data Centre experience looking for an opportunity to work on major international projects without relocating?
We are partnering with one of Ireland's largest and fastest-growing MEP consultancies, an internationally recognised engineering business with 300+ employees and ambitious plans to grow to more than 1,000 professionals globally over the next 3-4 years.
With approximately 90% of their workload focused on Data Centres, this is an opportunity to join a business operating at the forefront of the mission-critical sector, delivering major projects for leading hyperscale clients across Europe.
And the best part? You can be based remotely in South Africa.
The role also offers occasional international travel for client meetings, project workshops and site visits across Europe and potentially other global locations.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll play a key role in the design and delivery of large-scale, technically complex Data Centre projects, working across the project lifecycle from concept through to detailed design and delivery.
You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and international clients, contributing to projects where resilience, efficiency and reliability are critical.

What Were Looking For
We're looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with proven Data Centre / Mission Critical experience who is comfortable working on large-scale and technically demanding projects.
You should have:
* A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
* Proven experience working on Data Centre / Mission Critical projects
* Strong experience within a Building Services consultancy
* Extensive mechanical design experience across large-scale projects
* Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water systems, heating, cooling and ventilation
* Experience with mechanical services design, equipment selection and system integration
* Experience working across multiple project stages, from concept through to detailed design and delivery
* Strong understanding of resilience, redundancy and critical systems
* Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Highly Desirable
* Experience working on hyperscale Data Centre projects
* Experience with international Data Centre clients
* Chartered Engineer status or currently working towards chartership
* Experience working on technically complex, mission-critical infrastructure
