The multidisciplinary nature of the business means you'll collaborate with professionals across multiple disciplines, giving you far greater project exposure than a traditional engineering consultancy.
The Role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll take ownership of projects from feasibility through to completion whilst supporting and mentoring junior engineers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the mechanical design of building services projects.
- Producing detailed HVAC, public health and sustainable building services designs.
- Carrying out calculations using industry-standard software.
- Preparing specifications, reports and technical documentation.
- Attending client and design team meetings.
- Coordinating with architects, structural engineers and wider project teams.
- Managing project delivery, budgets and programme deadlines.
- Mentoring Graduate and Intermediate Engineers.
- Supporting Associates and Directors with project delivery and client relationships.
- Assisting with technical reviews and quality assurance.
What We're Looking For
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- Experience within a UK Building Services Consultancy.
- Strong HVAC and mechanical building services design experience.
- Good understanding of current Building Regulations and British Standards.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Chartered status (or working towards) would be advantageous.
