Senior Architect
A well-established, design-focused architectural practice in London is seeking an experienced Senior Architect to join its team. The role will involve taking the lead on the technical delivery of a prestigious headquarters office fit-out project.
This position would suit an architect with a strong technical background and a proven track record of delivering high-quality commercial workplace projects, particularly from RIBA Stage 4 onwards. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in design, a strong eye for detail and the technical ability to turn design concepts into well-resolved, buildable solutions.
You will take responsibility for coordinating the technical design, ensuring the original design vision is carried through to completion and working closely with the client, consultants and contractors throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities
Take the lead on the technical delivery of a premium headquarters office fit-out, particularly through RIBA Stage 4 and the subsequent construction stages.
Prepare, develop and coordinate detailed technical drawing packages using Revit.
Manage coordination between the wider consultant team and specialist subcontractors.
Identify and resolve technical issues, construction challenges and complex detailing requirements.
Maintain the quality and integrity of the original design throughout the project.
Attend and contribute to meetings with clients, consultants and contractors, confidently representing the practice.
Provide ongoing technical support during construction, including responding to site queries and reviewing contractor submissions.
Offer guidance and support to junior members of the team where needed.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
ARB registration and substantial post-qualification experience working in the UK.
A strong portfolio of successfully delivered high-end office and corporate headquarters fit-out projects.
Extensive experience of RIBA Stage 4, including technical design development and coordination.
Excellent knowledge of construction methods, technical detailing and building specifications.
Advanced Revit skills and a good understanding of BIM processes.
Experience working within a design-led architectural practice, workplace design studio or design and build environment, ideally on premium commercial interior projects.
Strong communication, organisational and coordination skills.
The confidence and professionalism to liaise directly with clients and represent the practice at project meetings.
A team-oriented attitude, with a genuine passion for quality design, technical excellence and attention to detail.
The Opportunity
This is a great opportunity to join a highly regarded London architectural practice with a strong reputation for delivering thoughtful, design-led workplace environments.
