A leading construction and infrastructure consultancy, specialising in commercial Cost Management and Project Management services, is seeking an experienced Regional Infrastructure Director to lead and grow its infrastructure business across Manchester and the North.
This is a senior, business‑development‑led leadership role offering the opportunity to shape regional strategy, expand market presence and build a high‑performing consultancy team within key UK infrastructure sectors.

The Opportunity


As Regional Infrastructure Director, you will have full responsibility for the strategic leadership, commercial performance and growth of the northern infrastructure business. The consultancy focuses on delivering cost consultancy, commercial management and project management services on complex infrastructure programmes.


The role is heavily weighted toward business development and work winning, supported by strong service delivery credentials. You will play a pivotal role in developing client relationships, securing new commissions and frameworks, and growing a multidisciplinary team aligned to regional and national growth plans.


Core sectors include Highways, Rail, Water, Nuclear and MOD, working with some of the UK's most significant public and regulated clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic growth of the infrastructure consultancy across Manchester and the North
  • Drive business development, work winning and market positioning across infrastructure sectors
  • Develop and deliver a regional strategy aligned with national infrastructure and sector plans
  • Take full ownership of regional P&L, revenue growth and profitability
  • Grow, recruit and lead a commercially focused Cost Management and Project Management team
  • Act as senior client lead on major infrastructure programmes and frameworks
  • Strengthen key client relationships and maximise repeat business opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with national sector leads and other regions to unlock cross‑selling opportunities
  • Ensure best‑in‑class service delivery, commercial governance, quality assurance and H&S compliance
  • Provide visible, credible leadership within the regional and national infrastructure market



About You
You will be a commercially astute infrastructure leader with a strong consultancy background and a clear focus on winning work, growing teams and delivering strategic leadership.

You will bring:

  • A proven track record in business development and work winning within a construction or infrastructure consultancy
  • Strong experience delivering Cost Management, Commercial Management and/or Project Management services
  • Deep understanding of one or more of Highways, Rail, Water, Nuclear or MOD markets
  • Established senior client relationships and market credibility
  • Experience leading and scaling multidisciplinary consultancy teams
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience of P&L responsibility
  • A confident, collaborative leadership style with high personal integrity



Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree qualified in quantity surveying, cost management, construction, engineering or a related discipline
  • Chartered status or membership of a recognised professional body (e.g. RICS, ICE, APM or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure procurement, governance and public‑sector delivery models
  • Excellent communication, influencing and leadership skills
