This is an opportunity to join a forward-thinking and rapidly growing Building Services consultancy of around 40 specialists that is gaining serious recognition across the industry. Renowned for delivering complex Ministry of Justice and commercial developments, they recently delivered the UK's first fully electric prison - a major achievement that reflects their innovative mindset and ambitious vision for the future.
As their project portfolio continues to expand, they are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to take ownership of technically challenging projects, strengthen client relationships, and help drive the consultancy's continued growth. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, and wants to make a genuine impact within a collaborative and ambitious team.
The Opportunity
You'll play a key role in leading the electrical design and delivery of large-scale MOJ and commercial projects from concept through to completion. Working closely with clients, design teams, and junior engineers, you'll have the opportunity to influence project direction, mentor emerging talent, and contribute to innovative, sustainable engineering solutions.
What They're Looking For
5+ years' experience within Electrical Building Services Engineering
Proven experience delivering projects across all RIBA stages
Strong technical design capability with a practical, solutions-driven mindset
Excellent communication and client-facing skills
Chartered Engineer status or actively working toward Chartership
A proactive attitude with the ability to lead projects and mentor others
Your Responsibilities
Lead the electrical design and coordination of major MOJ and commercial developments
Deliver projects from feasibility through to handover
Provide technical leadership and support across multidisciplinary teams
Mentor and develop junior engineers within the business
Ensure compliance with technical standards, regulations, and sustainability objectives
Drive innovation and contribute to modern engineering solutions
Play an active role in the consultancy's growth and long-term success
